We spotted these horses right when we got into the fair, and of course Solon was going to ride one. He took to it so quickly and was soon riding without any help from Jay. I think having my saddle set up in the den was a big help. As so as Jay placed him in the seat, he put both his hands on the horn. 
We all hit the fair on Saturday evening. Most of us got armbands for the rides and everyone was ready for the food. First thing I spotted when I walked through the gates. Fried Twinkies. Sadly, I didn't get a chance to get one. Next year.
For those who are interested here are a couple of photos of the new house. I think my favorite place is the screened in porch. It has skylights and looks out on the pool and yard...and is right off the kitchen. 
Aunt Janie brought the boys little spider rings. They wore them and then were poking them in all our faces...trying to scare us.
We headed to Pensacola this weekend for many reasons. Mainly, to see Sally & Jason's new house and perform some manual labor (Jay & Jason pulling out carpet, etc.). I had seen photos online, but it was much better in person. The neighborhood itself is like a tropical Eden. All the yards have huge live oaks and are so well maintained. (Solon and Luke actually ate limes picked off a tree in their backyard.) And the house itself is perfect for them. Lots of space. Great kitchen. And a pool. They don't officially move in for a bit because they are getting all the rooms painted and new wood floors upstairs. I can't wait to see it all filled up with their stuff.
IT'S A GIRL! Sally made the announcement to all of us Friday night! We all gathered around and made our predictions and then she peeled off her shoes to show a big fuzzy pair of pink socks. Momma, Janie and I were screaming:)
