Neighbors

One of the main reasons we love our neighborhood and put up with all the pitfalls that go along with living in the city...are these guys right here.  Ed, Liv, Nathan, Jackie and Joe...and all their kids.  We met them right when we moved into the neighborhood over 8 years ago, and we have all been great friends.  The love to do exactly what Jay and I like to do! Eat good, drink wine, listen to music and hang with the gang of kids.  We went over last Saturday to ring in Jackie's 39th birthday.  Nathan smoked ribs, and we brought the side dishes.  The kids put on a "play" of sorts.  There is quite a range in ages so there was a little bit of problem keeping everyone in line.  Lots of fun!

Daily Ritual

Tot is going to morning "school" four days a week now, and she loves it.  She gets home at 1 pm and goes down for a nap (most of the time).  And when she gets up..us three go on a walk around the block.  Muffin loved walking/balancing on this row of bricks when he was little.  Funny seeing her doing the exact same thing.

In A Blink Of An Eye

I leave the room for 5 minutes, and I come into the den and find that all the furniture has been rearranged. And there is an insane amount of stuffed animals filling up the couch...and these two munchkins laughing.

He Made It

Nathan is now official..since he is on the blog:)  He and Janie went to high school together and re-connected on FB.  Super sweet guy and they are just too cute with each other.  Bonus..He loved all our kids! Joked around with them and showed them magic tricks.

Walk About

It wouldn't be a weekend without all of us wheeling out the entire crew for a trip around the block.  It is so funny seeing all the looks we get from neighbors.  Like...where on earth did all these people come from.
