Jay caught us snoozing this morning.

Swaddle Me No More

Solon has outgrown his swaddling blankets, so we decided to test him out in his sleep sack last night. He has a tendency to punch himself in the face, but he managed to come through the night without a black eye.

The Famous Milk Toast

One of Harv and June's (Jay's grandparents) favorite meals was Milk Toast. Ann/Nana cooked some for dinner. How many dogs did she need to help her out? Three.

Presents!

We swapped presents last night, and Solon needed a little help opening his because he accidentally fell asleep during the festivities. Lots of good stuff! Solon got a book and his first deposit for his savings account. Jay and I finally got some proper measuring cups:) which we put to good use for dinner.

Christmas is Here!

Ann/Nana, Jackie & George arrived yesterday evening! We ate a dinner of lemon pepper chicken, wild rice and corn on the cob and then had a few glasses of wine!

One Month Old

Solon is a month old. He had his check-up today at the doctor's office. He is now 10 lbs 7 oz. And has grown 2-1/2". He is on the verge of outgrowing his beloved boppy. Oh. The horror!

Advent Calender

My friend, France, made Solon his own advent calendar. Each piece/day is unique! I am going to get a dowel and paint it up..and then hang them all off of it next Christmas.

Nana got Solon a super fast stroller! Once he is no longer a bobble-head, Jay will be taking him out running!

First of Many

Mickey's Christmas Carol and Small One have always been a Christmas tradition for me, Sally and Janie. Jay and I introduced Solon to it tonight. He lasted about 2 seconds before we put him to bed...but I am sure he will like it more next year.

Hanging out in the Baby Bjorn

Solon has hit that phase where he is only happy when he is pretty much attached to me or Jay. So the Baby Bjorn helps out when we need to get things done around the house and need the use of both of our hands.

Wrapping Presents and Relaxing

Solon received his first package addressed to him! MeMomma bought him a couple of cute Christmas outfits! Here he is wearing one tonight. He might not be smiling, but he is dancing on his changing pad to show how much he really likes them. Thank you Momma!

Nightly Rituals

Solon was burped, bathed and put down for bed. When we try and kiss him good night he trolls like a fish and tries to bite our noses.

Bed Time

It takes a few times to get Solon properly wrapped up. He is like a jack in the box with his arms popping out of his blankets once we turn our backs.
