Gift From Nanna

Nanna gave both Luke and Solon these sweet mini-statuettes when we visited her in Greenwood. Solon's sits on his dresser, so he can look at it every day.

He Has Got The Fever

Solon's love for designer jeans is apparently in his DNA. MeMomma & Nana! We did buy practical clothes as well; however, we couldn't pass up a pair of DKNY denims. His first...and what is sure to be a long and illustrious line of designer jean purchases.

Ballet

Jay, Solon and I took the dogs on a walk this afternoon. It is a tricky dance keeping the leashes untangled.

Ding Ding

It is dinner time! I hit the gym early this morning for an hour and a half workout. This week was a great gym week and did great on eating well. I lost three pounds! So as reward, we splurged on some BLTs for dinner Saturday night. It was better than a five star restaurant!

I Gots Stripes.....Addidas!

We finally were able to convince Solo that the GOWN was just too big. This is his first jacket and as you can see Moe and I love it more than he does.

Solo Needs Some New Clothes

Solo has outgrown most of his clothes in his dresser. So, it was time to head to Lenox Mall to update his wardrobe. We were thinking some cute shorts for spring and some rad tops as well. Solo had something else in mind! We were on our way to the kids section at Macy's when he spied the most beautiful GOWNS in the whole world. We searched and searched for just the right number and he finally decided on the yellow sequined beauty you see here. All he needs now is a special occasion. He patiently awaits your invitation!

The Ab work is paying off

Solon weighs about 16 lbs and is quickly outgrowing his clothes. But not to worry! His GOWNS still fit!

Time To Make our Picks

The Thursday night ritual. It is Survivor night of course, and Jay and I have to make our picks on who will be voted out. Janie calls in her vote. Our goal is to get the Survivor belt in our hands! Janie has been the winner the last three episodes. Solo could care less about Probst and all the challenges.

But I Just Had a Bath 4 Days Ago

The big saucer eyes are at work. Worried about where he is heading. The sink! Solon is bundled up in one of his favorite towels from Aunt Betsy, and he is about to get lathered and hosed!

The Animal Whisperer

I go to bed really early during the week because I get up at 5:30 am to hit the gym before work. So Jay stays up a little later to read some in the den. I come out at one point and find all the animals on the couch with him. All wanting just a little love.

Working ON the Weekend

Weekend of work--Moe had to finish drawing plans for my firm's new office space. And me...I jack-hammered portions of our back driveway in preparation for our backyard landscaping bonanza. My foreman (Rusty) was out on site inspecting my work.

Future die hard 'Sox fan

Solon takes after me in at least one way...the size of his melon! As you can see my Red Sox hat almost fits;)

So fresh and so clean on the weekend

We got up pretty early this morning. Both Moe and I had designs on bathing Solo...he has always hated baths. We have figured out that it is not the water that he hates...it is being horizontal in it. So now, bathing is a two man job. Moe holds Solo up while I scrub his folds. After the bath, Solo requested his black ensemble in honor of "Fashion Week".

Unbelievable!

Today is Rusty's 17th birthday! Who knew an old hound dog we 'found' under a trailer as a puppy could live to 119 years old in human years. Rusty is our big man, so in honor of him we threw him a birthday party! Complete with cupcake and hats!

Photo Ops!

After blowing out the candle on Rusty's cupcake, we took some cute photos of Solon and Rusty in their birthday hats!

Sugar Explosion

After we sang Happy Birthday and took photos Rusty finally got to eat his cake. We gave Taco some of it but Rusty stole it from her. He loves sweet stuff!

Pull Ups

Solon likes to grab hold of our hands and pull himself up. His lips curl up into an Elvis-like snarl!

Package from Gluckstadt

Solon received a package in the mail last week from Dalton & Pat Crotwell, Kevin's mom and stepdad! And guess what was inside! A stuffed lamb that makes noises! Rain, whale sounds. He loves sleeping with it already. Thanks Pat and Dalton!

White Russians and Dreams

Solon had a big day and sacked out pretty quickly Saturday night. Ann, Jay and I had chinese take-out for dinner and a few white russians afterwards. We made them in our mint julep cups we got for wedding gifts, so it was super fancy. We all spent the evening brainstorming on our yard/planting design for the backyard and searching for patio furniture online.

Visit from the Petus Family

Josef, Laura and Jackson stopped by Saturday afternoon on the way back from the Atlanta zoo. Jackson plowed into our dining room table, but seemed to recover quickly.

Walk Like an Egyptian

Ann, Jay, Solon and I all went to the King Tut exhibit Saturday afternoon! It was really cool, but Solon slept through most of it. He woke up in plenty of time for a few photo ops.
