Final Moments

Jay actually took Solon into the ocean. Janie showed off her new beach hat. Jason showed it off as well. And Luke chilled in the Bumbo. We had to leave shortly after all of this because Solon was very grumpy. He needed a bath and nap.

Activities

Jason and Lyle took the kayak way out into the ocean. The girls sunbathed. And eventually, we took Solo and Luke down to the water.

Count the Toys

We set up the squat tent, and Solon and Luke spent a couple of hours playing with all the toys.

Time for the Big Ocean

We went to the real beach on Sunday since we had a small window of sun. We loaded up the kayak and other beach gear into 3 cars.

Beautiful...Right?

Check out this birhtday cake. Orginally, Sarah asked if she could cook it in a pot, but Sally brought over her castle pound cake tin. Well, we didn't butter the tin up enough, so the cake was forked out. We piled it high with strawberries and whip cream. It was really delicous despite appearances.

Chow Down

Everyone ate a ton!

Cooking It Up

More shots of the meal coming together.

Kick Off To The Birthday

I apologize that the Memorial Day Weekend posts are out of order. I took photos with two different cameras, so they didn't download in order. So we kicked off Lyle's 30th with a breakfast next door at Sarah's house. On the menu were mimosas using fresh squeezed OJ, fritata (sp?), french toast and a stawberry topped pound cake. Music was playing and everyone was in great spirits. Solon even nibbled on a strawberry!

Board Game

Saturday night a bunch of us set up a table on the porch to play a game of Trivial Pursuit. Sally and I bundled up in our swoozie/snugglie/snuggy and swung the flag low and slow. It was girls against guys, and we just barely lost.

Bird Gets a Cage

Janie brought over Jay's belated birthday gift. It was a very cool bird feeder that had a cage around it. It gives a place for all the tiny birds to go and get food.

Turn On A Dime

Janie spent some time playing with Solon, but you can see in the last photo that he is poking out his bottom lip. Upset about who knows what.

Let The Food Digest

After dinner, the guys played Wii ande the girls chilled on the couch with some wine

Rabi Lovin

Jason held Solon for a little bit after he was all clean.

Dressing the Dreads

After we gave Solon a bath, Sally wanted to try her hand at brushing out the knots on the back of his head.
