Watching the Workers

The house next door is a nest of activity. The construction crew spent all yesterday installing new windows...which I totally disagree with....and replacing the wood soffits. So I had all the windows open so Solon could watch them work away.

I will post photos of the progress soon.

High and Not So Dry

Solon and I swung together and played in the water fountain yesterday. And picked up a lot of neat looking sticks.

Eat Him Up

Solon gets excited when it is time to feed the animals in the evening. He looked so cute here with his hair combed back and holding a bag of dog food as tall as him.

In Love With The Slicker

Solon was ready for bed, but he saw his raincoat hanging on his coat rack and started doing the international sign for gimme gimme. So I let him prance around the house for a little bit wearing it.

Bye Bye Ugly Bushes

Jay finally got his way and ripped up the 3 not-so-pretty bushes in our front yard. Once they were gone, we sculpted a nice new bed, raked and planted a few azaleas. I will post a photo soon of how it all looked at the end of the day.

Planting With Nana

Ann/Nana came to Atlanta this weekend, and we were very busy. We made the most of Saturday by hitting the lawn & garden place and picking up elephant ear bulbs, azaleas and other fun things. And Solon got to get a new perspective on things while riding around on the cart. Then we headed home and planted and worked all day! Hopefully, we will have some pretty flowers sprouting up soon.

Not Possible

Solon went and pulled his blanket out of his crib when we got back from the park, and then he went and plopped down on the floor. I was a little surprised that he was tired after only a short time at the park.

Follow The Leader

This low stone wall circles most of the playground, and Solon and I would semi-chase each other from one end to the other. In the last two photos, I was chasing him. It was pretty cute. He would stop every few steps and turn around and check to make sure I was still on his tail. And then he would start giggling and then pick up the pace.

Joined The Fun

Solon has just now reached the point where he can sit and ride the playground equipment on his own. All he needs is just help getting on and off. So we rode the see-saw together!

Put To Use

We finally have plants in our beds. We went out and bought several azaleas and a couple of cedar trees and spent most of Saturday putting them in the ground.

I Was Broken

I told myself I would never be caught pushing one of these gigantic car-carts around a store. Well, that lasted until this past Saturday. Solon found one at the Home Depot and completely suckered me into it.

Copy Pot

Luke has a little toilet...and now so does Solo. It's a race to see who learns it first.

The Sands

Solon enjoyed Luke's sand box so much that Jay picked him up one. Plus loads of shovels, hoes, and other toys for it.

New Duds

Solon got some cool new shirts and some much needed shorts from his Nana! And the weather was so nice this past Saturday he was able to wear some of them.
