Wheels On The Bus

It is hard hearing the boys over all of the over-enthusiastic :) adults, but we lined Solon, Luke and Liam up to sing a few songs for us.

A Message From Afar

Sunday was Amanda's birthday, so we all gathered at the dining table to Skype with her, Matt and Caelan. We had a slice of cake for her with a candle lit..and then all sang Happy Birthday...and let her blow out the candle virtual-style.  It was pretty fun and chaotic because all the boys were craning their heads around the computer and 'fighting' for camera time.  Afterwards, we let the boys eat her cake.

So Happy Birthday Amanda!! Hope you had a great day! Love you.

Boy Of Summer

I was sitting in the pool and watching Solon as he came walking out onto the patio, grabbed a chair and sipped his juice box.  He had his pool gear on and looked the picture of summer perfection.  And so happy it just made me smile.  I loved seeing him having so much fun and actually big enough now to do his own thing.

Did I Mention Food

We had a bunch of great cooks in the bunch, so ever meal time was a treat.  Pina Coladas & strawberry daiquiris, great burgers on the grill, muenster cheese/salami omelets for breakfast and a shrimp boil the last night.

Hanging Out

Stephen C. was sick for part of the weekend, so he spent a lot of time in bed or resting on the couch.  The rest of us had fun hanging out, playing with the boys and holding the new additions.

PIG out

The boys refueled on hotdogs and fruit after swimming.

Just Can't Get Enough

The pool was the star of the weekend.  We basically lived in it all weekend.  We all laughed about this weekend compared to last summer where we all huddled under a tent at the old house and trying to cool off in a baby pool.  Luke is a great swimmer, so he lead the way for all the other boys.  Solon wore his floaties most of the time and could actually move from point A to B by doing the dog paddle.  He was beyond pleased with himself.  I don't have any pics of what the pool looked like during the boys' naps, but it was the definition of relaxation.  Beers in hand, lying on floats and listening to music.

A Pack of Boys...and One Girl

Solon, Mattox, Luke and Liam ruled the roost the weekend.  And Ansley & Phin were so good you almost forgot they were hanging out with us.

Memorable Memorial

We just got back from a fantastic weekend down in Pensacola.  We had a house full of people.  The Collins drove over from New Orleans, and we got to meet Phin.  The Haywood crew came over from Mobile.  Sarah made the trek from Lloyd St a couple of times. And Janie and her two dogs even arrived with a packed suitcase.  It was perfect weather, and we lived in the pool!

Opening Weekend

Yeah! The outdoor pool finally opened this weekend.  We showed up Saturday all ready to swim, and the pool had already been shut down due to a baby having an accident. Yuck.  But Sunday it was all good to go.

Paging Mini-Agassi

We took Solon to the sporting goods store on Saturday, so he could pick out his own tennis racket.  He chose a neon yellow Wilson, and loves it so much that he has slept with it at night and during his naps.  So, we spent most of the weekend up at the Y as usual, and today scored a tennis court for a bit.  There was a lot of swinging..and a little bit of hitting:)
