Pensacola!

We are making our way down to the beach for the 4th.  Sally said there is going to be a larger than expected crowd.  I think the count stands at around 22 people.  Granted some of that number is for people 4 and under, it is going to be a full house!  So I have loads of packing to do tonight on top of studying for a test and partaking in my weekly webinar.  Can't wait for some lounge time by the pool!

And a early birthday shout out to Caelan who is turning 3 tomorrow! And Momma who will be celebrating her big day on Saturday!  My mom won't be able to join us down at the beach this weekend because she is in the midst of chemo, but we are making the trek to Jackson in a couple of weekends to visit and do a belated bday bash. Woot! Woot!

Fun In The Sun

We picked up a new pair of swim trunks for Solon this weekend, and he put them to good use at the pool both Saturday & Sunday.  He is getting so much better at swimming.  He can now go under water and hold his breath for about 5 seconds.  "I'm a big boy.  I hold my breath" was his mantra.

Fun On Palofox

Solon had a great time down in Pensacola this past weekend.  The first night they all went out and enjoyed the party going on downtown.  Hit the fountains and ran around.  There was lots of pool time as well among other things, but Jay only took a couple of pics.

To begin and explain my trip out west is impossible.  All I can say it was not all craziness and dancing.  During our 20 hour long days, we learned so much. I am still trying to process it all.  But I think I finally know what to do with my career:)  Great time and go PINK!

School's Out

Muffin and I have nowhere to be today, so he woke up this morning and asked for pancakes. Why not.  Usually we are rushing around and only have time for oatmeal or cereal, so I made us a pancake apiece.  What next?  We are heading to the Y for a workout and basketball, and then we are going to run some errands.  I think we are going to meet Jay at the pool later this evening for a quick swim.  I love not having class!

Hey What You Lookin' At

Solon likes a little bit of quiet time at the end of the day.  And when I say quiet that means I am quiet and the TV is on full volume.  What does he love.  Ratatouille and Madagascar. 

Tuesday Evening Work

As many of you know mine and Jay's fortune/luck hasn't been too great the past several months.  Houses broken into, cars stolen, medical issues, money issues etc.  This past Friday, my Volvo broke down on Peachtree.  It sounded bad, and yesterday we found out how bad.  The transmission died, and we were quoted a $5K remedy.  What?  We just bought this car 6 months ago and it has 90K miles on it! So, I have been car less the past couple of days, and about had a heat stroke walking home from school yesterday toting 60 plus pounds of books and tools while decked out in blue jeans and boots.  Thankfully, Ann has let me borrow her car until we remedy the situation.


Now I have to finish my circuit diagrams for class tomorrow and read more on about creating my Flipping Machine.

Builder

I helped Solon build himself a fort/castle in the den.  I remember doing this so many times with my sisters.  Too bad he only has me and Jay to play imagination with...because I didn't know both dragons and baseball can exist in the same story line.

Watching While We Work

Jay and I spend Saturday working in both yards, and Solon had fun helping out.  He had to take a quick snack break and yeah..he stuffed an entire half of a banana into his mouth at once.

Embarrassing but Too Cute Not To Share

Solon is working on moving out of diapers, and these are some of his cute Yo Gabba Gabba underwear.  This Saturday was the first day he went without the safety net.  You could tell he was proud of himself by how he an around the house most of the day.

Finally Got Around To It

I finally had some time to sit down with Muffin, so he could open up the rest of his belated Christmas gifts from the Michigan clan.  Caelan decorated the little brown bag and inside was a cute t-shirt with all three of the Sparkman cousins on the front.  Another one of the gifts was what we have now dubbed the I SPY BAG.   It has all sorts of things hiding in the beads that you have to find.
