Call This Crazy

I am heading to Chattanooga today and spending the weekend in a cabin with Sally and two of my best friends, Jennifer and Emily!  About 15 weeks ago, I 'accidentally' responded to a text saying I was all in....It wasn't until a few hours later that I realized that I had just signed up for a half-marathon..and NOT the 10K I thought was mentioned.

I immediately went into to panic-mode and getting a training schedule together. There is a huge difference in running 6 miles vs. 13.1. My first run was half a mile. And it was beyond hard.  I never thought I would be able to do it, but I kept to my plan and had Jay running every step of the way with me.  And all of a sudden I was running over 10 miles outside...without stopping!

I am really nervous.  I have a sore right calf that I am resting and taking care of with heat and ice. But there is no turning back I guess. So hopefully I come back home whole and uninjured:)

Project

Muffin, Peaches and I went on a LONG nature walk yesterday, and we came back and glued down most of the pretty things we collected.

The Little People

Anyone want to take a guess at what was in the bowl Solon was licking clean.  Ranch dressing.  I gave him some carrots and ranch for dipping, and surprise..guess what he liked most.

Soccer Update

Peaches Galore

She had her 6 month check up a week ago, and she is in the 98th percentile in height (29") and 89th percentile in weight (15 lbs 12 oz).  And now she is officially eating three meals a day!

Want You Be My Neighbor

One of Solon's favorite people, Stella, came over a few times last week to play.  Here they are making pirate treasure maps:)

Sunday Fun

We cooked pancakes for breakfast! Then headed out to Piedmont Park for bike riding and running around.

Diversion

We were trying to chill out and watch the State game on Saturday, but this stinker just wanted to play.  So, I set him up outside with a big bucket of water, some cups, toy cars and water guns.  It wasn't long before he didn't have a bit of clothes on and was hosing down the entire deck.

Thursday Soccer Date

Solon had so much fun that he didn't want to leave.  He LOVES Coach Ben and had to make sure he said goodbye to him a couple of times.  I just can't say enough how much fun it is to watch him out there running around and smiling.

It's A Bird

Oh what a cute man! Coach Ben got all the kids lined up, and it wasn't two seconds before Solon screamed "I see a butterfly! It's a Monarch and they fly to Mexico for the winter!" Then all the other kids jumped in on the act, and screaming and pointing at the butterfly.  The coach just had to laugh and try and get them back and focused on their soccer balls.

Obsessed?

Okay. I couldn't pick the picture. Kevin's mom bought this dress for Tudor-B when she was born, and I just spotted it in her closet.  So with the cold weather on the horizon I had to make sure she got at least one wear in!  All the ladies up at the YMCA had a fit over it...and all I could think. Everyone was so worried about me having a girl because they thought I would dress her in jeans and T-shirts.  Nope. Pink and ruffles:)
