Eggsplosion
We were all awake at 5:15 am this Saturday, so we got our morning started off with pancakes. Afterwards, we headed to the Y for a workout and then the Easter Eggsplosion they were putting on. Solon got to play for 2 hours. Bouncy house, egg hunt, tattoos, and games!
Afternoon Trek
The weather has been lousy here the past few weeks, and we are going crazy sitting indoors. So last Thursday, us three drove up to Lenox Mall for a few hours. I bought Muffin a cookie, and I had a pocket full of pennies for the fountain.
The Birthday Bash
We had to get it started because Tudor-B gets sleepy starting around 5. Jay brought her home a big bunch of balloons, as well as a blue one for Mr. Mupps. Solon helped me bake a big strawberry cake! And Nana came over too. Tudor-Tot got a phone from Nana which she oohed and ahhed over. And then a barking puppy from us. I took her to Toys For Us last weekend, and I cruised her down the aisles to see what she might be interested in. She didn't show any sign of excitement until we turned a corner and spotted this puppy. After opening it, the party was over in her eyes. She didn't want any part of the cake. So all of us had a slice and then played with the bday girl.
The Big Numero Uno!
I can't believe it! Tudor-Beach turned 1! Jay and I talked about the past year and all the things we have managed to survive:) For the first three months of her life, she slept between us on her boppy. The next 3 months, I slept on an air mattress beside her crib. She finally conquered sleeping alone at night, but she wasn't a fan of naps. She had a 4 day hospital stay when she was 9 weeks old. So MANY things. But here we are looking back on 12 months. Little Tudor-Tot is a happy little thing even if I call her my Bad Baby sometimes:) I am so happy she is ours, and I can't wait to see her change over the next year.

Dirty Dishes
Tudor-Beach has been Devil Baby the past few weeks. Her top two teeth are coming through, and she doesn't want to eat, nap or do anything but cry. I was trying to make supper, and I decided to plop her in the sink to keep her quiet for just a bit. Well, Solon had to have his turn as well.

First Time
Solon wrote his own thank-you card! One of Jay's co-workers brought Solon a stuffed elephant from the circus, so I laid out the words for Muffin to copy. And he did a pretty good job. "Thank You Mr. Alvin"
