Racing...
Me and Mupps Time
Solon and I went to the movies this Friday. The Nut Job 3D. I had so much fun (minus the movie which was kind of boring). Muffin held my hand while we walked to the theater and talked non-stop. He is just so sweet and funny. He busted me during the movie...I was snoozing:) The highlights. Blue Icee. Popcorn. Reese's Pieces. And 3D glasses.
Dancing Tot
Tot found some goggles last Sunday, and she decided to put them on and then do some serious break-dancing.
Enjoying The Gifts
There isn't a pair of shoes that Tot doesn't adore. I promise I change her shoes 15 times a day. I think I am going to have to hide them all because it is becoming a full-time job. They had fun playing Twister...ultimately preferring to build a tent out of the tarp.
Christmas Morning
Santa came!!!! I didn't take many pictures this morning because it was just CRAZY. Tot got a pink tricycle and bunny slippers. Solon got dinosaurs, snakes and Max Steel motorcycle. In their stockings, Cheetos and Cheese Puffs!
Christmas Eve!
The kids were nuts! Ann came over early and we nibbled on some meats/cheeses. Then we let Muffin and Tot open one present. We listened and danced to Christmas music, had a big pasta dinner, and made cookies for Santa. It was hard winding these two down:)
Blast From The Past
I got a package in the mail from Kevin over the holidays. He had a whole hodge-podge of gifts in the box that spanned the past few years. He just never got around to sending them. I picked up one and on the front was written "Not a Gift, But Wanted to Return." I knew immediately what it was...My dad's shirt. When Kevin and I lived in DC back in 97-98, I used to wear this all the time. Kevin loved it so much, so I eventually gave it to him. I wondered over the years if he still had it..and poof. There it was. In the exact same condition as when I let him have it. Yeah. There were some tears:)
Movie Time
This is Solon's favorite thing to do. Pull out the bed on the couch and settle in for a movie. This year we watched Home Alone. He loved it...laughing the whole time towards the end of the movie.
UhOh
Tot came down with something a few days before Christmas. It sent shivers though all of us because none of us wanted to catch it and be sick over the holidays. Poor thing. I made her a big pallet on the couch, and we just babied her for a few days.
More Decorations
Yep. Our stocking were packed up as well, so we had to go the route of my dad. Paper bags hung on push pins! With our names written on the fronts with Sharpie.
Random Shots
Keeping these two clean is a full time job. Tot tends to wear her yogurt every night for dinner. And Muffin inhales any bit of candy he comes across.
Getting Into The Holiday Spirit
We bought our Christmas tree the Sunday after Thanksgiving, and then spent the next week decorating it. As well as my super-sad attempt at making pepper jelly. I turned my back for a second and the pot of sugar/vinegar erupted like a volcano. I have never faced a bigger mess. But the jars sure looked pretty...the jelly just tasted awful! Also, Muffin and I made our own ornaments. Seeing that most of our stuff is packed up in storage, we had to get creative in decorating the house.
