I am not quite sure what we were doing here....Oh! One of my birthday presents from Jay was the hiring of a nanny for two Fridays every month. And this photo is of us right before the nanny, Carlotta, showed up. She is super nice and has taken care of a couple of the children in our neighborhood. And a bonus! She cleans!! I didn't know the front of our microwave could look brand new. Anyway, I spent the morning at the gym and then caught a movie and hit the bookstore! Great treat. The next Fridays will be used more productively, but I figured I could start off nice and slow.

Petting The Pups

Solon was zipping around the house trying to catch Taco and Rusty. Taco was too fast and wasn't too keen on him petting her. But Rusty was game as long as there was no tail yanking.

Hooray.....Gymboree

Solon and I go to a Gymboree class every Thursday. I meant to get some photos of him in action but only got ones of us waiting for the class to begin. He loves crawling through the tubes and this past class he climbed the big foam steps several times...without any help.

Number Nine

I think I have read at least 10 biographies on various members of the Kennedy family, so it was sad to hear about Ted Kennedy passing away. I spent several hours watching CNN and then the funeral mass on Saturday.

Favorite Little Spot

There are a few spots in the house that Solon can always be found. Either this corner in his bedroom where he pets the horse and takes all the books off the shelves. The other places are standing at the ficus tree and eating dirt. And the other place is in the bathroom...banging on the metal garbage can and admiring his reflection in it.

Photo Doesn't Do It Justice

I used the panini press I got for my birthday a couple of times this past week. Monday I made a chicken, mozzarella, tomato, basil and olive oil panini for our dinner. It was incredibly delicious!

Beautiful Orange & Yellow Roses

Sunday was mine and Jay's 18th anniversary of our first date. Crazy! Jay had to go up to work for a few hours but surprised me with these pretty flowers when he got home.

Pulling A Taco Move

Everytime Jay tries to do his push-ups, Taco gets right under his face and starts licking him. Now Solon does something similar. He just parks himself up under Jay's head and just stares up at him. Very cute.
