Jay and I were up at 5:30 on Thursday morning (23rd) packing and loading the car, and we were on the road by 7:45. It was a nice quiet drive down until about 5 minutes away from Jason/Sally's house. I told Jay I wasn't feeling well and rolled down the window to get some fresh air. We arrived and everyone hugged and we got the tour of the house...Janie showed up...and within an hour I was horizontal on the couch. I had been hit by the worst stomach flu anyone could imagine.
How did this happen? Well the previous week, I had dropped Solon off at our neighbors for a few hours and the parents FAILED to tell me that their kids were extremely sick. So Solon spent the next few days throwing up and other bad things. We thought he was well over it but turned out..he wasn't. So our first day/night in Pensacola, I was either on the floor of the bathroom or in bed. It was so bad Jay was about to take me to the hospital.
Anyway-this photo above is the only shot I got the first few days I was there because no only did I get sick...I got the entire house sick. We had to postpone Christmas day until the 26th because Sally, Janie, Jason, Jay and I were in bed. So Christmas 2010 has now been dubbed The Blowout.
