Shocker

We are heading to Pensacola tomorrow!  I am slammed with a million things to do, so I cannot write much.  Lots of friends and family will be down there with us.  Promise lots of pics.

Banged Up Job

Solon has been plagued by some serious falls. Sunday he took a very scary spill down our front steps that are brick.  He walked away with some serious scrapes and bruises.  Then yesterday he was horsing around and hit the coffee table.  Big bloody busted lip.  Ugh. I think I am going to start wrapping him in bubble wrap.

And I Smile

Tummy Timing

When I am in the kitchen at night, I park Tudor-B on her mat nearby.  That way I can talk to her while she works on her muscles.

Too Many Photos??

I can't help it. I love taking pictures of Muffin.  He is just so sweet and funny.  Plus he has a new haircut:)  Pretty short for him but still mullet-tastic.

Three Months Old

I can't believe she is already three months! In honor of her big day, I took her up to the YMCA to have her officially added to our membership, and she will sit for her picture some time next week.  I dropped her off in the nursery for about an hour, and it brought back so many memories of me doing the same thing with Solon.  It really made me realize how quickly it goes by in some ways.  I don't feel that way when I am up at 3 am feeding her, but seeing her hanging out in there with all the other babies made me remind myself to really soak it up.  Before long she will be crawling.

All three of us love loving on her.  Making her smile and holding her. She is a pretty sweet girl.

Morning Exercises

Look at little Miss B! She was working hard on her tummy this a.m., so I decided to give her a try in the Bumbo. And she loved it! Her big head is still a tiny bit front heavy, but she managed to sit there for about 5 minutes.

To You From Him

Who Knew!

There is a town in Ohio named....SOLON! Carolyn was in the state for a design conference and came across this shirt...and was the best ever and bought & mailed it to Muffin.  Now the question is..how long will it take for Jay to try and squeeze into it:) Thanks Hott! You made his day! And now we have a place we have to visit!

Splash Pad And Bust

Perkerson Park just recently got a new splash pad, so us three went over to check it out yesterday.  Tudor-Beach and I found a nice spot under a tree, so she could sleep.  And Muffin just took off.  I almost don't want to even post about it because of the end of the day..but he had a blast running around.  Every time he passed by me, he would wave and say "Hey Gita!"  Then a boy a bit older than him started chasing him.  They were having fun, and then a few older guys started chiming in on the game.  They would grab Solon by the arms and place him over a fountain...and then they would start laughing.  I stood up and almost interjected, but Solon came running up to me and said he was having fun with his friends.  This went on for a while and then very quickly I saw one boy grab Solon, put his arms behind his back and strong armed his face into a fountain.  All I saw was Muffin struggling and trying to get away..and I was running to him and screaming for everyone to let go.  I knocked one kid to the ground and then picked Muffin up.  It broke my heart.  He was gagging and coughing..and I could tell he was trying not to cry..and then he just let it out.  It had scared him.

I stood there and looked around at the handful of adults who were there...a couple of them sitting within arms length of where it happened...and they didn't say a word to me.  Nothing. All I could think was..were they just going to sit there and let a little boy drown in a fountain?  How far would they have let it go?  And all the kids.  Scattered.  We packed up and stormed off to the car, and I had one young lady come up to me and say she was sorry about what happened and I sure did scare those boys.  I was like "I hope to hell I did."

It sucks.  All Solon wanted to do afterwards was ask me why those boys were mean to him and tried to hurt him.  And I didn't have an answer.

The Claw

Muffin spotted this truck out front, and we had to make a morning out of it.  He asked a bazillion questions, and I answered a bazillion times.

Oldies

I was sitting here sifting through a bunch of old posts..to compare Tudor-Beach to Solon at three months old. And I came across some pics of Solon and Luke together. Aww. You honestly forget how much they have grown.  What cute little buddies.

By Demand

Seems a few people are not happy with me only posting once a week:)  So here are a few pics from the last couple of days.

Sunday Afternoon

Tudor-Beach is loving the bjorn.  We spent our rainy Sunday afternoon cooking and hanging out.
