I have so many great memories associated with the Lincoln Memorial. When I lived in DC the first time, Kevin and I would do a 'victory lap' every Sunday morning which basically consisted of a lap around the Mall. This lap always included a walk up the steps of the Lincoln and us sitting on the steps...jokingly declaring we were the most important people in the world because we were sitting in the most important place in the world.
Anyway, these steps are one of the best spots to sit in DC. Day or night. And it was fun taking Muffin Man on a trip up them! I even got a shot of Jay and Solon standing on the spot where
MLK delivered his "I Have a Dream" speech.
