Part Two of Two

So what would Jay's piece be to save? He has many things that top his list, but this is one of the things he would run out of the house with. It is a statue of St. Francis. This isn't an artifact from antiquity by any means, but Jay's grandparents (Harv & June) picked this up on a trip up to DC to visit family before Jay was born. Harv and June lived in Bentonia, MS, and Jay and Leigh spent summers/weekends exploring their backayard and catching bumble bees. Harv and June were big gardeners, and they had tons of flowers and butterbeans. In the back part of their yard there was a bird bath, and in the bird bath stood St. Francis. Years later, Ann (Jay's Mom) was moving and Jay spied St. Francis and it brought back memories of those summers/weekends spent with Harv and June. Ann gave it to us and now he has a temporary spot in front of our fireplace...soon to take up home in a new bird bath in our backyard.
