Bring Out The Boxes

Jay hauled over all our decorations from 564, and we spent last night decorating the tree and house.

Deck the Halls

As tradition, we drove up to Buckhead to get our Christmas tree. This year we got a 10' one!

Last Night

The grand finale for the weekend was the Egg Bowl. We had some serious die hard fans, so there was lots of screaming, clapping, yelling and cheering. A great game! The Dawgs won!

Morning View

Our cabin was on Lake Martin, and it was so serene and the perfect color green.

Faux Fishing

Jason picked up some toy fishing poles at the grocery, so we took all the boys down to the dock to teach them how to cast and reel in. They all got the hang of it pretty quick, but it was a little nerve racking having them sit so close to the edge of the pier.

My Little Skywalker

Rockin' It Out

(We got the boys to yell touchdown..hence them holding up their arms.)

Best Watch Out

Nancy spent some time in the kitchen on Saturday making pigs in a blanket and some dips. And you had to be prepared to dive in once anything was ready, or you would get hit by the stampede coming form the den.

ALMOST Done

We slaved away on this puzzle only to have two pieces missing when we stepped back. We all patted each other down because we are each known for stowing away one piece in order to claim "I got the last piece." This time it wasn't me, Sally or Janie we had to worry about. Adam. He had one piece and coughed it up about an hour after we took this photo.

Old Man Football

All the guys (plus two of Adam's friends from Ole Miss-Josh & Jordan) headed out to the street to play a game of tag football. You should have heard all of them the next morning talking about how sore they wore from it.

All Aboard

Jason lead the boys in a train dance Friday morning.

Not Enough Photos

I was too busy eating to take photos of the enormous spread we had for dinner. Jason deep fried two turkeys. My mom brought two honey baked hams. Sally made spinach madeline. I made dressing. My mom brought sweet potato casserole. Janie made asparagus casserole. Jason made turnip greens and butter beans. Kelly made a huge salad. I made angel biscuits. Christy made mac and cheese. Matt made his famous Chamorrow casserole. Janie's pies. My snicker bar pie. Christy's strawberry cake. After dinner, I think we were all in bed by 9!

The Whole

I brought my tripod, and we got a group shot of everyone right before we dived into the feast.

Chilliiiin..

Football. Puzzles. Sofas. And Rocking Chairs.

First Stab

Janie was in charge of desserts, and she made several incredible pies. I made angel biscuits. And Adam drank beer and watched.

Favorite Spot

Solon and Luke gravitated to Harvey & Barb's room. I think it was the twin bed on the ground that was the prize. They spent a lot of time jumping on it..with Harvey...and hiding in the neighboring closets.

Prep Underway

Most of us were up early Thursday morning, and we got the Macy's day parade on the TV...which in this cabin was the largest TV I have ever seen. Then we all got busy cooking and working puzzles. Jay always makes fun of us girls for our puzzle obsession, but once I explained how I go about getting pieces to fit..he was hooked.
