Home

I realized right before we were going to bed that we hadn't managed to get one photo of both of us.  So we took a couple real quick to document our fun night.

What We Do Best

The weather was perfect when we left Flip, so Jay and I took the back way home and looked at some of the prettier neighborhoods in Atlanta.  One of them being Ansley park.  I couldn't pass up snapping a quick photo for Sally:)

And A Bite To Eat

Jay and I are huge Top Chef fans, and one of our favorite contestants (and recent winner) is Chef Richard Blais.  He hails from Atlanta and has recently opened up a 'burger boutique' called Flip.  We have been wanting to check it out, so Ann was sweet enough to babysit Solon so we finally could.  It did not disappoint.  The atmosphere was really modern and cool, and the food was beyond delicious!  And Jay looked super handsome wearing his new shirt & shoes...and the remnants of a birthday ribbon around his neck.

Jay Turns 36!

Muffin and I got the dining room all decked out with Batman balloons (Solon's picks).   Ann came over.  And Jay got home from work early.  We sang Happy Birthday which was fun because I have been practicing with Muff everyday in the car when we drive home from the Y, and he nailed it.

Anyway, Jay got some good gifts, but can you tell which was his favorite? Shocker.  A pair of shoes.  And of course Solon enjoyed the bubble wrap.

Can You Tell He Is Excited?

A package arrived in the mail on Monday from the Rabinowitz crew, and inside were a bday present for Jay and a Easter happy for Muffin.  He was beyond excited to open a present on a random Tuesday morning:)  And what did he get. His very own fishing pole with little fishies.

Early Easter A.M.

I cooked bacon, Solon ate leftover pizza and we all dug into our Easter baskets and enjoyed the candy & toys.

Just A Little?

Jay and I went a little over the top for Easter.  We found so many fun things for Solon that it kind of looks like Christmas.  Oh well.  Anyway, when we put Solon down for bed tonight there was one thing on his mind.  Easter Bunny coming tomorrow.

Park

There were tons of kids out at the park today, so we had fun racing each other on the slides.

A Great Day to Dye

We have been telling Muff all about the Eater Bunny, and he gets it.  And today we set up on the patio and dyed some eggs.  It was so much fun.  Solon colored his own eggs, and he also dictated what he wanted me and Jay to draw on our eggs.  So I had one with a bicycle on it...Another one with a butterfly..and another one with a turtle.

Yet Another Toolbox

How many tool boxes can we accumulate under one roof?  Well, we added one more today.  I have bought all my electrical tools and am just waiting for my digital voltmeter to come in the mail.  We start building circuits and pulling wire on Monday, and I am very excited.  I hope I don't make a total fool out of myself because I am good at the books but we will see if I can apply all the knowledge I have built up over the past 4 months.

Chilly Goodness

I bought Solon some "healthy" popsicles.  They don't have sugar and are basically just frozen fruit on a stick.  He loves them.  And gets one at the end of the day if he behaves.

Spin Spin

Hello!

We finally are up and running!

Fun At The Y

We hit the YMCA both Saturday and Sunday, so Solon got a chance to go swimming and play basketball.

On a side note, one of the counselors at the daycare told me that Solon was so funny and that there was no doubt he was going to be mr. popular in school because he loves to talk.  All I could think was Mini-Jay.

A List of Chores

Jay and I had one of the most productive weekends in years.  We tackled lots of things on our to-do list.  Hanging our bicycles on the screened porch, installing shelves in our broom closet, getting rid of paint cans and cleaning our laundry room, bagging limbs/sawdust, planting shrubs, mowing 2 yards...etc.  One thing that I have needed to do was consolidate all my tools.  I had all my stuff scattered amongst all our closets and cabinets.  So in this process, I had to tackle my dad's toolbox.  I opened it up and had to laugh because I saw all these random things and bottles of stuff that had to be 30 years old.   His mason jars filled with nails.  All his tools.  I found one of the scrapers I remember him using on our house on Northside.  It was nice thinking about him and all the thousands of projects I watched him undertake.

Anyway, I threw out the junk and now have to find a way to get the massive amount of rust off his tools.  Any suggestions?

A Taste

I am going to try my hand at growing our own herbs.  I picked up some rosemary, cilantro and thyme to start off with.  As well, as a couple of plants for a few of my empty pots.

Go Ahead and Say It.

I know.  Everyone is tired of seeing the same clothes on Solon, so Jay and I finally made an effort to update his wardrobe.  I spent this morning boxing up all his clothes that are too small, and washing the new things we picked up this weekend.  I am excited because we got him some cool plaid pants!

Hey There...

Solon finally cornered Megan and got to pet her some.

Fun!

Solon saw all the animals minus the panda, hit the petting zoo, and then we all sat down for some hamburgers.
