A List of Chores

Jay and I had one of the most productive weekends in years.  We tackled lots of things on our to-do list.  Hanging our bicycles on the screened porch, installing shelves in our broom closet, getting rid of paint cans and cleaning our laundry room, bagging limbs/sawdust, planting shrubs, mowing 2 yards...etc.  One thing that I have needed to do was consolidate all my tools.  I had all my stuff scattered amongst all our closets and cabinets.  So in this process, I had to tackle my dad's toolbox.  I opened it up and had to laugh because I saw all these random things and bottles of stuff that had to be 30 years old.   His mason jars filled with nails.  All his tools.  I found one of the scrapers I remember him using on our house on Northside.  It was nice thinking about him and all the thousands of projects I watched him undertake.

Anyway, I threw out the junk and now have to find a way to get the massive amount of rust off his tools.  Any suggestions?
