Tudor-Beach and I went to Greenwood this past weekend. It was a very long drive, and I came home wiped out physically and emotionally. Nanna hasn't been doing well the past few months and was in the hospital when I had Tudor-Beach. I felt that there was something going on more serious, but my aunts/sisters kept it all quiet. I don't want to go into much detail because it is makes me too sad, but my aunt Penny and Mary told all us girls to come visit as soon as we could. The Hughes' clan were in town as well, so we all circled Nanna in chairs and kept her company, and we even managed a dinner of shrimp (from Pensacola) on Saturday night.
I am sure Nanna would string me up by my toes for posting a picture of her not looking her absolute best, but I wanted to show her with Tudor-Beach. Propped up on Nanna's blanket is a picture of her Papa, Tudor Beach Carre, and her mom, Janie Harris Carre. I wish my mom could be sitting her with us...showing 4 generations of us girls.
Nanna loved seeing all of us, and I hope our visits keep her feeling good.
